Salinas Public Library has partnered with the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program. If you earned less than $49,000 in 2009 you qualify for this FREE service provided by IRS certified volunteers. Visit the John Steinbeck Library on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings 5-7pm, February 2nd through April 14th. You MUST bring the following items...
- Photo id and Social Security card or ITIN for each family member
- W-2 forms for all jobs held in 2009 and all 1099 or 1098 forms
- Child care provider information
- A check with your bank account numbers to direct your deposit your refund
- Last year's tax return (if possible)
