Our Story
Salinas Public Library Director, Elizabeth Martinez, first introduced the idea of a Digital Arts Lab to the Salinas City Council November 11, 2007. Her idea became reality due to financial support from the Rally Salinas Fund. The Irvine Foundation also donated $25,000 to purchase computers and equipment for the lab. Elizabeth Martinez, the Irvine Foundation and the community of Salinas deserve special thanks for their roles in creating the Digital Arts Lab.
