Learn to create music videos, photo slide shows, edit home videos, and more! Bring your photos, home videos, music, and flash drive to make a personalized project to take home and share with your friends and relatives or upload to Facebook or YouTube. This is a free workshop for ALL AGES. No pre-registration is necessary.

New Programs in the Digital Arts Lab

The John Steinbeck Library has new computer programs available in its Digital Arts Lab. You can now create 2D and 3D animations, edit video, restore old photos, professionally edit sound files, and more.

Tutorials and classes are available for beginners. Check out a computer with your library card and begin your digital creations today!

 
World Book Online

The Salinas Public Library is offering a new online resource,
World Book Online, to help students with school projects and assignments. This resource is the same expert information found in The World Book Encyclopedia, and provides interactive, fast, and reliable information.

 
Kids Art & Craft Activities

Children will create simple cartoony characters and other fun crafts in which the learning/creating process is valued more than the finish product. Children ages 6 - 11 are encourage to participate in this program, but children of all ages are welcome.

Hey Adventurers! Come out and explore nature each week! Learn about local natural history, explore different habitats, look for wildlife, practice native crafts and skills, track and observe animal signs and more! FREE to youth who qualify for free or reduced school lunch through the generous support of Harden Foundation, Community Foundation for Monterey County, Monterey Peninsula Foundation, David & Lucile Packard Foundation, and Nancy Buck Ransom Foundation.
