We're excited to report that 1192 children signed up for summer reading, but we're also happy that our libraries are becoming places where real learning takes place.

More than 3400 children ages 8 - 12 attended our weekly workshops and learning camps this past summer, which included "Learn to Code," "Introduction to Robotics," "Museum Enrichment," "Imagination Laboratory" for those who like to explore creative writing, and several more workshops. We had live dramatic performances, bubble shows that challenged our understanding of physics, and a special Kinder Boot Camp designed for children entering kindergarten with no preschool or transition to kindergarten experience.

Goodbye summer and best wishes to all the kids in Salinas starting school this month!
