Poet and author Jimmy Santiago Baca will be hosting a writing workshop for teens. All are encouraged to bring their work for discussion, edits, and sharing. Following the workshop the community is invited to attend a discussion and reading from Baca’s newest work, “Adolescents on the Edge: Stories and Lessons to Transform Learning”From 5:00PM until 6:00PM Baca will be discussing the methodology and practices of using expression and creativity to support and uplift at risk youth. Families, educators, parents, and all community members are invited.
