Tuesday April 12th at 6:00pm @ the Cesar Chavez Library
Join a discussion over pizza about the messages we find in the lyrics of hip hop artists such as JayZ and MosDef. Issues will include politics, race, justice and struggle. Space is limited so please reserve your place by reading more information below.
This program is made possible with grant funds from the California Council for the Humanities "Making a Difference" program which supported the purchasing of dinner and giveaway materials including copies of JayZ's book Decoded, copies of albums from MosDef, KidCudi, Lupe Fiasco, and Drake, as well we texts from Dr. Cornel West and hip hop reference and rhyming materials.
