Meet the Citizenship Team!

David Torres is a full-time husband, father of twin girls and college student. We are so glad that he finds time in his busy schedule to lead the Spanish language Citizenship class. Bob Lee is one of our longest-standing instructors. He and his wife Sonia have volunteered with us since 2015. Bob is a former ESL instructor, and currently leads our English Language Citizenship class. Maria Gonzalez is one of our dedicated volunteers from Central Coast College where she is also a student. Maria provides administrative assistance to our Citizenship program, and leads an English Conversation group at Cesar Chavez Library. Maria Berrospe was once a student herself in our Citizenship program, and since passing the Citizenship test, began helping in our Spanish language class.

We are grateful to these tutors and all of our volunteers for their support and dedication! We offer Citizenship classes in both English and Spanish at Cesar Chavez Library on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

If you are interested in Citizenship classes, or in helping members of our community to meet their goals, please contact the Literacy Center on (831) 758-7916.
